Meeting with my therapist at 6 am when I am rested is by far more productive than the lunch-time sessions I was squeezing in at work…
Somehow the night sessions give me more space to open up. I’m relaxed and it’s just been easier to get right to it.
Frequently
Asked Questions
1: Can I choose the therapist I want to work with?
Of course. You can select the date and time for your session(s) and then select any therapist available at that time. Or you can ask for a specific therapist and our Client Care Coordinator will share their availability with you.
2: Do you offer couples therapy?
Yes, we work with all couple configurations, including married people, life partners, and significant others.
3:If we’re having couples therapy, do we have to be in the same place during the session?
4: Do you offer therapy for families?
We do. We defer to parents or guardians to decide if our hours of operation are appropriate for their teens (ages 13-19). However, we do not work with anyone under 13 years old individually, or as a member of a family unit.
5: Do Therapy at Night® therapists prescribe medication?
They do not. But if you need a referral for psychiatric evaluation or medication management, we can help.
6: Do you offer therapy for children?
Do you offer therapy for children?
7: Can I have my sessions in person?
No, we do not offer same-room sessions. Safety and logistical concerns preclude in-person care.
8: Can I drive during my session?
No. Operating a vehicle during therapy will cause distraction and could be dangerous. Also, to get the most out of your sessions, you’ll need to bring your full attention to the time you have with your therapist. Finally, we need to know where you are during your session in case you need emergency assistance of any kind.
9: Are my sessions recorded?
No. We do not record sessions under any circumstances.
10: If I don’t have access to reliable WIFI, can we use the phone for the session?
Yes, however, if you choose to have your session over the phone, you do so with the understanding that Therapy at NightTM cannot guarantee your phone provider’s HIPAA compliance.
11: If needed, can we meet on Facetime, Microsoft Teams or other video conferencing platform?
We are unable to control HIPAA compliance on any other platform other than our own, so we don’t recommend using them. If you do choose to have your session on an alternate platform, it’s ok, as long as you do so with the understanding that HIPAA compliance cannot be assured by Therapy at nightTM.
12: Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, we do. Contact Client Care to purchase or inquire.
